I would like to ask if anyone knows whether there is a possiblity to find the number of documents in all domino databases located in the Data directory. If not, does anyone know any easy way of couning the number of documents.

I did not find any maillog.dll in my installations of Lotus Domino.
By the way, the correct way to restore the Domino server is:
- install the OS
- install the Domino Server
- restore the Data catalog to the correct place

1. Using tools provided by operating system:
- for Unix tar for example
- for Windows ntbackup.

I do not have any experience with such configuration, but as I have checked in the documentation, there as lot's of user name used for the authentication - sname is one of the possibilietes, but there is also mentioned common name - you must try
