This could be a corrupt print queue on your PC. The solution I have found to work in the past is 1> uninstall the printer 2> defrag the c: drive (so you don't create the new print queue over the previous one)and reinstall the printer. HTH, Granville Thank you, Granville Westecott

Most, if not all, printers that have more than one input method will let you send prints to the different connections at the same time and then either queue them internally or send a busy signal to the external printer queues attached to all ports. Thank you, Granville Westecott

I back Marvin on this. Unless your office is really small, 6 or less users, I would go with a stand alone print server (I happen to likke both HP JetDirect and Lexmark NetMark). Otherwise a printer with internal NIC. At the very least use an old PC as a dedicated print server.

What networks OSes is the customer running? I have printers shared between Netware, Unix and Win2k networks. This combo was staight forward and is secure, at least from Netware which is my most critical system. HTH.

If you're going into the BIOS anyway, you might be better off disabling the on-board NIC while you're there.

What OS and NOS are you running? If the OS is Win2000 or XP you may need to sign on with admin rights to clear the option.
