Are you sure a new daemon is starting and stopping when you run lpshut and lpsched? Try running "ps -ef | grep lpsched" and check time and date. You might have to kill the daemon with the kill command.- grandguy

We don't have prm installed on the server. I was thinking ulimit but that seems it will limit everything in the shell. Can't find any good documenetation on ulimit.- grandguy

How to delete odd-named files (eg. a file called ~!)
