    Have you checked in MS Word for what that effect is? It could be a symbol. You may have to replace that effect with an appropriate character after placement in Inddy.

    Even pages(2,4,6,8,...) are always on the left and vise versa. Deleting pg1 automatically turns page 2 into page 1 leading to a break of a spread that had pg2 and p3. What do you want to do? Why are you deleting pg1?

    Are you asking about Distribution and Alignment? Move one date where you want all the dates in that column or row to be flushed and then... Element Menu >Align...> (Choose a preference). Am assuming all your text boxes are equal in size.

    Are you sure about the display preferences? Have you tried Overprint preview? View Menu>Overprint Preview. If you fail to see anything, then there could be a problem with the file extension. Save the 'image' as an IMAGE (tiff, jpeg, psd etc)
