I'll give it a try. I know I can use a couple channels in another trunk group so that will work. Traffic at the remotes are very low.
Good thoughts, thanks again.
Thanks for the reply Scott. Yes you're correct. I never thought about setting up a different trunk group for the same trunks. The same trunks can appear in different trunk groups? Or are you saying pull a couple channels out of the PRI group to be used specifically for this application, 911?
We have CM 5.1 with LSP gateways at several remotes in addition to Definity R11 (CM 1) at other locations. All of our main numbers for each facility route to a centralized call center at one location. Those numbers have been ported to that location. Each location has thier own PRI/s and all...
atlasphones.com and metrolinedirect.com are a couple of the bigger ones for refurb avaya. You'll send them a list of what you have and they'll send you a bid back.
Can't get the 9608 to understand the Set ringtonestyle command in the settings file. It is getting the settings file. We're on CM release 5.2. The 9608 phones' default is some modern ring tone, not a classic one. Have command as SET RINGTONESTYLE 0 and have changed it to different numbers and...
We have anynomous incoming hotline DID number where we don't want to see the caller id information of the outside caller. Anyway you can think of to mask that from showing? I can for internal using the CoR option but doesn't work for external. Thanks in advance!
As mentioned by mikeydidit, I use the Display Alarms for locating unused digital and IP extensions as it provides the last date the phone was in service. So if its been out of service for more than a month, those numbers and licenses are free game to use. :)
Thanks for all of the great posts. Reading through here, I guess this is what I've come up with:
To sell these and be safe for the buyer and us, we should know the buyer and work with them and Avaya to clean up any of the registration stuff especially if we sell the LSPs with our gateways.
We have closed a couple of our locations and also upgraded our CM. Is it possible to sell our extra gateways or can the buyer not get them re-registered? We replaced our 8500 during a recent upgrade. Is it ok to sell the 8500?
A list config media is for displaying the configuration of a specific media gateway. You should see an ICC which is the LSP (S8300) in the list. A list config all will give you a list of all media gateways. We're on 5.2 and that is how it shows for our network.
