Premiere has a problem with jpegs. I suggest you convert them to TIFFs and you'll likely have much better luck. Even BMPs are likely to work better than compressed JPEGs.

Sorry, I have no idea why your files are corrupted but I just have to ask: Why do you have Windows XP installed 3 times, or do I misunderstand what you mean? I've never heard of doing this. .....Gord

It's a long time since I installed Premiere but if memory serves I believe it placed an icon on the desktop to start the program. Have you looked for one there? .....Gord

I figured out a workaround. I can save a template and use that but it's still not as quick as changing the defaults would be. .....Gord
