Hi there!
I'm new at working with Crystal Reports and I have a question. I'm writing a report which is pulling timekeeping data from SQL and I want the end user to be able to enter a date range to refine the data, but I can't figure out how to make it prompt every time it is opened and how to...
Go into Tools, then Services, then Outlook Address Book. Click Properties, then you'll se two radio buttons - one shows last name first. Check that one. Viola! You may have to log out of Outlook and back in in order for these changes to take place.

We have a user here who is having unusual problems with his e-mail. It seems that for most, not all, e-mails, when he opens them fully, the background turns DARK PURPLE. The text seems to be staying the normal color. It looks FINE in the preview pane, but when he actually opens them all the way...
Actually, I figured it out, sort of. It seems that the users are only moving things when their mailboxes get full. In order to move to a .pst, a copy is actually made within the inbox, so there's not enough room in the inbox to actually move anything big. Still not sure what to do to make them...
Help! I'm having a problem with MANY users at work. They're continually over allowable mailbox size, so we create .pst folders for them. They would be a good solution, except some of the users cannot move files with attachments. We thought it was a size restriction, but even if they just move...
Thanks cdogg. I had installed all of the new drivers when I put XP on, but I may have missed something. The only part is that I forgot to mention that this happened when I was using Windows ME, which is part of why I switched in the first place. Of course, I should have done a clean install...
No, I didn't start fresh... Tried to get out of doing it. I think it's a good idea, but I don't understand what it is in particular about the games... I can run Word all night if I want, can spend hours on the internet, even hours multitasking, building webpages, doing some graphics-heavy stuff...
I have tried everything to figure out why my computer seemed to randomly reboot by itself. I've gone as far as taking ME off and putting XP on. Then I noticed that it only seemed to do it when playing a graphics-heavy video game. Sure enough, it consistently does it, about 10-15 minutes in. The...
Thanks. I don't think he writes ASP, but you have a good point about checking file extensions. I think I'll give that a shot to see. Those seem to get corrupted occasionally.
Thanks!

Not all of the files are .exe, though. Most are Word or Excel. Everyone else (as far as I know) gets the same files normally (in the case of the mass e-mailings), it's just this one guy who they turn into .asp file for! I'm at a loss.
Thanks.

Hello!
I know very little about .asp. However, I do work at a helpdesk, and a user is having a strange problem. From two different sources (both within the company), he's getting .asp attachments to his e-mails when the user was just sending a Word document.
You open it, and you can read the...
We are constantly having this problem in different applications (Word, Access, Outlook...)here, but always trace it back to the same source... We have an old HP 5Si printer. When people print there, the 'memory could not be written' error comes up sometimes. This happens with 2000 machines as...
Hey there,
Just installed XP on a system that was running ME (yuck) and everything was going smoothly for the first day. However, on the second day, the computer would NOT shut down, no matter how many times I tried. It kept REBOOTING instead!!! Because I have a number of USB devices, I was...
I have a user here who is having a strange problem. At first, he told me it occurred in MS Access, today it is happening in Acrobat.
In Access, it said: The instruction at 0x77fc9906 referenced memory at 0x8328d40f. Memory could not be "written".
Same thing in Acrobat but 0x77fc9ba0...
