Avaya told me one time that if the system powers off ungracefully that you need to stop and start IA770 when the the system comes back up compltetely or you will get weird errors within days or hours.

This is what I do but if there is an easier way someone please advise.
1. Edit you 46xxsettings.txt and save it.
2. Download it to your S8300 thru the maintenance pages.
3. Telnet to your S8300 and log in.
4. change your working directory by typing

PS. The only downside to the product I mentioned above is it monitors traffic by IP address so you have to have static IP address's for the phones you are monitoring.
There is a product made by Telrex that does what you are wanting to do. It utilizes an AES server using TSAPI basic.It monitors only unencrypted IP traffic going thru the gateway. It is a pretty slick product and considerably cheaper than Nice or Witness.
Are you trying to use ASA? If you are here are a few things that I have done.
1. When you set up a connection thru ASA make sure the check box SSH is checked, and manually log in.(I dont think you can have log in automatically because of the added PIN security)

The way I got around it was to put the password in manually, but I enter a password that is less digits than the mininum password length. By doing that the system will prompt you to enter a new password.
The password that we are refering to is when you initially create a mailbox and when the user logs into it. It used to be " # " in all previous release untill now.
I dont need the sa or vm passwords.
It has been a while since I had this problem,but I think your problem has to do with call supervision. First test by calling your extension directly (Inbound) and then transfer to the outside number, if this works then it is a call supervision problem. To get around this change your trunk group...
