bcasyner, thanks for the info i think this issue relates more to a registry issue. do you know of anything i could look for that will stop a user making perminant changes to the registry? i have also heard just now that even a desktop icon or document placed will be removed at next logon...

I have 2 issues with Windows XP sp1. (may be related) logged in as a standard user (non admin) : if i change the screen res to say 1024x768, it will change ok. then i log off and back on as same user and the res will start at 1024x768, then the screen goes blank and it changes to 1280x1024...

i would try removing Office, reboot, reload it, then patch it from windowsupdate site.

I have installed Outlook 2000 using a MST install, which allows for any user who logs on to run Outlook without having to enter all the Exchange Profile information. This works fine until i update Office with SR1-a and SP3 for Office 2K any ideas? thanks glenn

You need to setup the printers as a Remote Writer. They are not attached to a controller. try: CRTOUTQ <f4> this will start the setup of the output queue.

Hi, i have a HP 2200 DTN printer with a Jetdirect card in it. This printer is printing spool files from our AS/400 through a Remote Writer queue. I want to change to orientation of the page from Landscape to Portrait. Does anyone have some suggestions? Thanks Glenn
