we use SQL server and a database called "QL", for housing.
User are having a proble mwith the screen becoming white after about 2-3 hours.
This has been reduced for one user by upgrading the memory.
But if we use citrix, and shadow this happens on our screen as well, so is it a local...

you can create a mandatory profile for use by all users
as long as the apps you want are installed on all systtems then it will work
you need to make the ntuser.dat file a ntuser.man

Hi, having a problem with the win2k machines.
If you try to run a macro to merge some data from a xls document to a word document, it won`t do it.
But if you run the batch file associated with it it runs fine.
Anybody have any ideas as too how i can get round this??
80 mb is not a lot of disk space.
if you have a lot of applications open then it could be running out of space.
check how much space is for your virtual memory.
in the system icon on the control panel, performance tab, see if your virtual memeory is set to expand past your available hard drive...
fastfat.ss relates to the hard disk .
This would indicate that there could be a problem with your hard disk
the upfrade will not run a full disk scan.
try running a full scandisk, and check out the disk for errors.
how is the server configuered???
if it`s a PDC then setting the user/password, up on the server, and configuring the clients to log onto the domain will solve the problem.
If the server is a member server, and so is part of a workgroup then you will have to reinstall the server to become a PDC...
I am trying to setup a mailbox so that another user can access it.
The idea is that we would like to have 2 accounts per user, one roaming and a mandatory account.
But we would just need the one mailbox that both accounts can access.
ANy idea`s on how to do this would be appreciated?
the modem uses it`s own speaker for the noice you here.
you can turn it off in the modem properties.
Not sure where but it is there.
Normally says low , medium or high
