I have a NetGear RT314 router and a hub at my house and when I connect the hub to the router, none of the comps on the hub can communicate with the comps on the router. I have a crossover cable connecting them but it is still not working. Did I make the crossover cable correctly? How is that...

I need a way to make a fullscreen mode that will cover the start menu and go to 800x600 mode and switch back to the user's mode when exited.
Code examples would be most beneficial.
Thanks

I was wondering if there was a way to change the names that show up in Net Neighborhood of comps. My network primarily uses TCP/IP.
Any help would be appriciated.

Making the other computers the default gateway of the connected one does work. I don't need any programs now. Thanks, AGod.
Geo Miller
Georules@onebox.com

I have just downloaded a program that is doing this for me quite well... but I will try out what you have suggested above. I think that might be better just because it won't take up as much of the system resources to do.

Thanks
Geo Miller
<a...
Can I dial up on a win98 and let a winNT use the connection to? how do I do what you suggested and/or what I would like to do?
Geo Miller
Georules@onebox.com

I have actually been wondering about this for a while, but MasterRacker reminded me about it. I would like to know how the "always on" connections (DSL, Cable, ect...) change your IP address while you are still connected. Just a brief explination would...

I don't think that a new modem would be nessicary. Check for any upgrages or patches for your modem the next time that you are on the internet.

Check out:
www.windrivers.com

If that doesn't work, then...
Why don't I want to 'capture' packets? Can Net Monitor display MAC or IP addresses for me when computers broadcast? That would be helpful if it could. I will try to persuade them to pay for somethign better, but if Net Monitor could help a little, it would be...
Thanks for the tip on NetB.

I might have to do this stuff the slow way, as I am not certain they are willing to spend so much money on this small project I am on.

What about NetMonitor? Can that 'packet sniff'? If it can, could you explain what I should do...
I have a small network at home with NT4.0 and Win98 and was wondering if it is possible to share a dial-up connection with other computers over my 10/100BaseT network without a router. I am willing to use either Internet Explorer and Netscape if you know a setup for either.
Geo...
