    Veritas has a workaround (197483). Check the registry in HKLM/software/veritas/adamm/ look for Media Request Timeout Seconds (Reg_dword). If it ain't there than add it and change the Data to decimal and ad 20 for twenty seconds, 30 for thirty seconds etc. A value of 0 means infinite timeout...
