I've got a weird one for you. Whenever I have a shared folder from my 98 machine on my XP machine, the mouse controls the 98 machine, but I cannot see anything, so it is not like VNC. At least I figured that out, at first I thought it was a trojan.

On the xp machine, NetBEUI is enabled for the network to function, file and print sharing is enabled, and it is told to get the IP address automatically.

That is not the problem. I can see the XP machine from 98, but it says that I don't have "enough permission to access resource". That is why I tried making the user account.
