    Nortel VPN Client and Vista

Nortel has a client out specifically for Vista...However, last I knew it was still in beta. You may be able to download it from the nortel website. But I'm not sure. We were given the beta version by our field engineer. We are using it minimally here for testing. The one thing we have found...

One site in particular times out

Trying to get to one site through our Symantec Enterprise 7 firewalls. Browser shows following error: Gateway Timeout The firewall did not receive a timely and complete response from the upstream server it accessed in attempting to complete the request. This may be due to one or more of the...

    What kind of NIC installed?

Yeah they're pretty old I hear ya. We're scrapping these things later this year anyways for appliance firewalls. I've just got to keep them working till then. I'm going to install the patches this evening and see how it turns out. Thanks guys! It may take a few days for me to re-post since...

    What kind of NIC installed?

yes it's hme1 onboard and 3 hmecards. cndcadams: Would any of those fall into the catagory of needing the 108981-14 patch? Like I said, that patch is installed on my other firewall and it doesn't have the problem where I need to reboot every 7 or 8 days to regain performance....

    What kind of NIC installed?

All: pretty sure it was a Sun card. Not sure about the MII connector though. WhiteVolg: showrev -p|grep 108981 returned: 108981-10 My other server/firewall has 108981-14 on it. And it doesn't have the issues I'm having with this server. I'm going to grab that and install tonight. Will let...

    What kind of NIC installed?

mbrooks: RE: dmesg -a. I've been there. It doesn't really show what I need. I know it's HME2 that's having the problem. I'm running a firewall on this box and every 7 days it freaks out and I have to reboot. So what I really need to know is what model is installed. WhiteVolg: prtdiag...

    What kind of NIC installed?

A year or two ago I installed a new NIC on a Solaris 8 box. I've since forgot what model it was. I really need to know, but it's at a data center that's 30+ miles away(so I can't just crack the case). I can't think of any commands that will tell me what model/version of NIC's are installed...

plug in keyboard stops system into obp

ok. This is an interesting one for you guys. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've just built a new box it's a 220R with Solaris 8. Last night I had to do a little bit of work on it so I plugged in the keyboard and monitor (no kvm just yet so I have to cheat). Anyhow, as soon as I...

Suspect corrupt SAM... Any way to check it?

Running NT Server 4.0 having problems with the user manager. Anyway, have tried everything from changing Registry settings to Environment setting to reaplying service packs and more. I'm really starting to think it's a problem with the SAM database. Are there any utils out there that can...

Insufficient system resources exist... User Manager for Domains

ok here's another nibblet. it doesn't appear to be an environmental issue. or a lack of actual resources. here's why I say that: we have two domains (with trusts etc) and from the problem pdc on domain A I can pull up the user rights from domain B. it's starting to sound more like a...
