DOS Error 5 in Windows ME
I should like to add to my question. I have tried adding the line PerVMFILES=199 in the [386 enh] portion of the system.ini file but this doesn't help. The full error in Clipper is - Error DBFNTX/1001 Open error : File name (DOS Error 5) Thanks- GeeKay

DOS Error 5 in Windows ME
I have a system that I have written in Clipper 5.01 (yes I'm that old !). I have just upgraded my PC and it has Windows ME. Whenever I try to run the system, or use DBU I get 'DOS error 5'. I am assuming that this is telling me I don't have enough file handles. Can anyone give me a clue as...- GeeKay
