    HP Pavillion boot.ini help

    Have a Pavillion 752n that got messed up. Need to put back the boot.ini file(s) that contain the HP mods so that pressing F10 brings up the HP System Recovery. Anyone have an HP that would post contents of the boot.ini files on the boot drive and the recovery partition.

    I believe you can fix this from the recovery console by changing the attribute using the following... attrib -c c:\ntldr (this assumes your ntldr file is on the c drive)

    Maybe I wan't clear... I want the image to stretch or shrink with different window sizes. So if one person has 800x600 and another has 1024x768 they see the same image not a cropped off version or borders around a smaller image.

    drive disappears on warm boot

    Let's see... I tried both setting the drive parameters and using Auto in the bios. It made no difference. The drive in question is a Maxtor 20GB diamondmax.

    I have a weird problem with a couple of machines now. On a warm boot either one or all of the IDE drives connected disappear. When the machine is shutdown and then restarted everything is normal again... any ideas
