I recently set up a Blackberry Enterprise Server version 4.1 and linked it to our Exchange 2003 server. I also updated the OS on five 7750's from Verizon and set them all for Enterprise activation so e-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes in Exchange will synchronize wirelessly with...

Our network consists of two LANs connected via VPN. We have a DC in both offices. Our users run a logon script that utilizes the IFMEMBER program to run through a standard script. If they are a member of a group, then a drive letter is mapped, etc. Our servers are Windows 2000.

I am getting an error when my Arcserve 11.1 backup job attaches to our Exchange 5.5 server:

Yes, we've looked at those settings and everything looked fine; no different than my machine.
Another thing I might add is that they can print these files to local printers and other networked printers with no issues.

We just recently had a new Kyocera Multifunction machine installed in our office. Ever since then, we have two users (that I know of) who cannot print PDF files from Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard. With some PDF files, the printer will send out blank pages for every page in the document. On...

I have Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition version 10 installed on a Parent server managing both 8.1.0.825 clients as well as 10.0.1.1007 clients. The server is Windows 2000 and the clients are Windows XP SP2.
I can patch a 10.0.1.1000 client to 10.0.1.1007 from the server using...
I totally agree with you zbnet. I know my limitations and I don't need this to get any worse than it is already.
That being said, I downloaded a copy of PowerControls by Ontrack. This is amazing software. Since we only have 60 e-mail boxes and this looks to be the most expedient and safe...
I gratefully appreciate your advice, zbnet. I'm not an Exchange administrator, so I need some clarification of the terms you are using. Online backups - I have a complete copy of the Priv.edb as well as tape based backups of the data store. We just recently upgraded from NT Backup to Arcserve...

I've searched all posts about getting back a data store and have seen some good advice, but my situation is a little different. Here's my scenario:
We have an Exchange 5.5 server running on Windows 2000 Server. It is also our Domain Controller, DHCP Server and DNS Server. I know having...
Thanks cyberspace. I've downloaded it and will do just as you suggest.
Any ideas why the two servers keep taking up addresses with RAS? I cannot for the life of me see how to disable/uninstall this service on these two machines.
Thanks again,
Greg
Thanks for the help/advice guys. We added a few more addresses to the scope and got us some breathing room. I will most likely recreate the scope and move the printers and other static devices down near the servers.
We do have two servers that take up several DHCP leases for RAS. We are not...

I have inherited a network and need some advice on DHCP. The machine in question is a Windows 2000 server that is our domain controller, DHCP server, DNS server and Exchange 5.5 server.
The existing DHCP scope starts at 192.168.0.128 and ends at 192.168.0.192 with a subnet of...
Thanks very much for all the replies. The issue has been resolved and here is what happened:
Server A = ARCserve 11 backup server
Server B = MS SQL Server 2000
Server A runs a backup of Server B which has a mapped S: drive where all the databases are kept. I can backup all the databases...
