I have a file which contains a time field which shows the time as GMT. When I process the file I want to display the actual time adjusted to take account of daylight saving (ie at the moment it's GMT+1 but in October it will revert back to GMT). Is there any way that I can do this?
Just got an Antec Aria case with a front mounted Firewire socket. Unfortunately my mobo (MSI KM4M-V) doesn't have a Firewire header. Is it possible to get an adapter to link the wiring from the case socket to a PCI Firewire card?
Thanks guys - it all becomes clear. Just one more thing (to take advantage of your good nature and expertise) - rather than selecting the top x, I want to select a random 3 from each product. Any suggestions on how that should be coded?
Sorry - I'm sure I've missed something really fundamental here but I don't get what the Table A and Table B are about - I thought there was only one table? The reason I ask is that I've got a very similar question at thread 1015660.
It has to satisfy our auditors - so it should be a random sample of 3 transactions for each selected client (ie it can't be the first 3 or the last 3 etc, etc)
I have a table which contains about 43,500 client transaction records for about 2000 different clients. I need to develop some code to extract a random sample of 3 transaction records for each client. Ideally I'd also like to be able to select the clients I sample from - ie for clients...
I've got a similar problem. I need to do a find on a document for a specific word and then display a list of alternates (in a drop-down box?) from which the replacement can be selected (for instance find 'formal' and display 'official', 'legal' or 'standard', select one which then replaces...
After a thunderstorm on Tuesday night (coincidence?) my DG824M doesn't establish a broadband connection or work with any of my networked PCs.
One PC is connected via ethernet cable to the DG824M and the port indicator light on the DG824M is green but flashes on and off all the time. The NIC...
I've been asked a question about using PGP Desktop v8 within MS Outlook (2000). My organisation needs to ensure that any PGP messages sent can also be retrieved internally in an unencrypted format. I can't find anything on the PGP site that helps as the advanced key features only seem to be...
Thanks - I checked the temp after the last crash and it was well within the limits. Had a bright idea yesterday and booted up in safe mode - ran disc burner with no problems at all so I guess it's a device conflict. What's the best way to troubleshoot this - remove all devices and put them...
I have XP home (SP1) on a Athlon 1.1, ECS K7VZA MoBo (Via chipset with latest drivers) and 1gb RAM. I've just got a Pioneer DVD-R model R105 to back up my DVD collection and during the burn phase (latest version of Nero) the machine mysteriously restarts - no blue screen, no app crash just a...
I came across a neat solution to this at
http://www.papwalker.com/mousetra.html
This is an Active-X control that you add to each form you want to stop the mousewheel on. Not only does it prevent the mousewheel from scrolling through underlying records, it also allows the wheel to be used to...
