    Windows 2003 Print Server Restore

We have a 2003 print server that for some reason lost about 8-10 printers today. In order to not have to figure out which and recreate each one,as well as set up users to print to the new printers, we thought the best option would be to leverage Backup Exec and do a system state restore from a...

    Server Side Rule

We have a server side rule running that effectively is quite simple, it takes an incoming message and the server replies using a prewritten messages. The issue now lies with the area using this rule wanting a log of each of the outgoing messages. They don't appear in the sent folder. We've...

Have a user who has created a recurring event for her staff. It runs for multiple months, however on her calendar and one of a 5 staff members, the event does not show up. (It works for NOV, Dec is blank, and JAN, FEB, etc. are all showing up.) For the other 4, Dec is there in the calendar...

    Outlook Outof Office Rule question.

I have a user going on an exteneded leave. He wants to be able to have the rule active and take messages from certain senders (a specific listserv) and have them moved to his Outlook archive so he can review them upon his return. He isn't willing to leave his machine logged on and have Outlook...

    Outlook calendar views

Is there a way I can prevent users from seeing the grid and pop up information of each others calendars? We want them to be able to view the free busy but not the meeting detail, either in the grid or by pop up. Personally I think it's silly but we had one very vocal user complain and it has...

XP can't launch cmd or regedit

Also, any attempt to update Windows causes the same behavior, Windows explorer closes itself. This machine only started showing the behavior today and it appears whatever is installed has taken away many of the keys we need to repair it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is there a way to set a global signature that all users are forced to use? I am new to Outlook/Exchange support.

RIS logon error from remote boot disk.

Had a similar problem. The account was set to force a password change the first time it was used. The RIS client wasn't able to handle that so it returned that message.

    File locations

Is there a way (registry, etc.) that I can globaly change the location that Office documents are stored? We have about 500 users running Office 2000 and when the images were created the default (My Documents) was left. We need to change the setting to the users home directory.

    Excel charts

I am trying to help a user who has a unique request, at leat I think so. She needs to create a bar graph that includes a "goal" line. Therefore, across the top, a straight line that indicates the target is set. The bars should go either above or below, indicating progress. We tried...

    IP Printing

We add the printers via IP as you have suggested. However, in our current environement, we have Novell print queues. To capture to a port (LPTx) etc. we then use the Capture printer port to accomplish this. We have to apps that MUST have LPT printing, an old DOS app and a very robust 32 bit...

    IP Printing

Is it possible to attach to an IP printer AND then capture the same device to an LPT port? We are trying to stop setting up queues and these devices don't have a queue associated. Thanks.

    Citrix and HBOC

The biggest issue we are having is with MSE ports. Since they are assigned to a specific IP address, we can't load balance. And it is my understanding that each MSE port must have a unique IP address. I am not very well versed in HBOC but I have been asked to get it running on Citrix. Also...
