Hi...
I have recently acquired a new server and moved all documents, data, users etc. over from the old domain.
The new Server is a Windows 2000 Small Business Server running Citrix Metaframe 1.8 and other services.
My problem is that the documents created and saved on the old server still...
Thnx for your answer Marcs41...
I have read the article a couple of times and it has helped me understand a few things.
But what I don't understand is that I can move the mailboxes from an Exchange 5.0 to an Exchange 2000. But they don't support each other?! So all the public folders etc. I...

The NICs are build PCI-cards from Intel. Good cards actually. I have downloaded the new drivers and installed them. It didn't work. I still need to boot them with cable plugged.

Win2K has the NIC deactivation feature.
I have 2 different Win2K pro clients (noteboks) where the NIC doesn't start if the network cable wasn't connected from the start. If I unplug the network cable afterwards it works, until next time they start up without the network cable plugged.
It...
I have recently migrate from Netware to MS too.
I have missed that feature in netware which says that if you don't have access to the directory, you can't see it.
In W2K you don't have such a feature. Sorry.

I don't have an exact list of what services to shutdown. But I downloaded the IIS lockdown tool from MS and chose the template "Small Business Server". Then it shuts down all the services the could be a possible security leak.
Remember to check that everything works afterwards. If it...
W2K pro as well as server has a feature which deactivates the NIC when it isn't connected to a networkcomponent (Switch, HUB, etc).
So the solution to your problem is to connect your NIC to a network. You can always change the IP to a different subnet.

But I think that it's way too expensive to buy Exchange Advanced Server for this single feature that I need.
I was wondering if it was possible to move the website anyway. If I exported the settings from my mailserver and imported it to my webserver. And changed the...

Why don't you cancel one of them and order more bandwith to the other?
What you want to do takes a lot of time. You need to find some software which can bundle to NIC's with diffenret IP adr. And your NIC's need to be manageable to do this.

Hi.
Is it possible to make a groupdependant login script in W2K server?
What I need is to map a network drive some a certain usergroup. Ex.: The group webadmins need to map the root of the webserver(inetpub).
I have tried to describe it below:
"if member of group webadmins
then

Yes, that is what I mean... The only way I have found is to make a rule in Outlook. But then I have to have it open all the time.
Thnx for the answers!
