    Belarc advisor is a similar tool that is very helpful, give info on all aspects of your machine. It's free for personal use and can be licensed for commercial use

    I believe the turbo tax default extention is .tax. If you happened to save the file as a pdf which TT allows, check for any pdf files you may have as well

    Check the recycle bin to see if the folder was deleted in error. If so just restore back to the desktop.

    I use Karen Kenworthy's free "Replicator ( http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp )and have had very good luck with it as well. It also has been mentioned in Langalist as a good choice.

    I have had good luck with the free version of zone alarm. there is a learning curve involved for both the user and the software. Once you get used to using it, it works very well.
