The re-print of a jammed page is really causing me some problems, since I have a problem with some sensor that is falsely setting this alarm, then automatically clearing itself.
The pages are being printed fine, I desire to stop getting multiple copies of the same page printed due to the fact...
thanks - I assume this manual has more than the pdf files that you can download from the Xerox site?
How does Xerox send these out? - Why is it inktechnologies can have a service manual but we can't? - Where did they get it from? (if you know)
thanks - bill
I'm not sure, does it continue to print after that - the same page.
It seems that my problem has come back, so I'm going to take that entire area apart and clean everything.
The only thing that doesn't make sense is why does that Media-Jam error automatically clear itself?? - if it were some...
That was it.
Is there a (repair) manual out there that you know of the identifies where all of these sensors are located? (that way it'll be easier to find next time)
Thanks!
bill
nope this was never done.
Would there be any other side-effects?
Is there a way for me to look at the printer to verify if this is the problem and fix it?
I'm a certified HP tech, but not Tektronix, so I don't have an actual repair manual etc (do you know where I could purchase one?)
thanks...
It seems that I'm getting a fake media jam error for every print job, the error flashes on the screen, then goes away and the job prints.
Unfortunately, since this error occurred, the same page is printed several times.
What could be causing this fake media jam, then somehow or another it...
One Idea that I have in mind is that it mocks the same thing that happens when you have a paper jam etc. If something happens during a print job, the printer will re-preint the page. If it is related to this, is there some way to view system events (not faults) during a print job?
thanks - bill
I did, but the manuals / downloads there didn't explain anything about actual service information. (something that a repair tech would use.)
thanks - bill
The Phaser 850 keeps initializing and warming up between every page (just text) - I've verified the voltage on the motherboard battery to be 3.1, any other ideas as to what could be causing this? (first page preview etc is not the issue) It really slows the printer down for printing multiple...
Does anyone know what the 4 DIP switches are used for on the back of the main board, as well as what the meaning of the blinking lights. (how to translate).
Is there a service manual that can be purchased that would disclose such information as well as other pertaintent service information...
I have a Phaser 850, for some reason it prints the same page numerous times. Just as a simple test to see if it were some driver issue, I disconnect network from printer, nothing is now connected to it, then print configuration page, it printed the page 5 times prior to me canceling the job...
