    the files you are downloading are in depot format. swinstall will run these files.     You can use rcp in a script and put it into cron to copy the password file over once a week. ex. rcp "hostname:/etc/passwd" "hostname:/etc" Hope this helps.

    Are you sure you are booting from the CD. When the system is starting to come up before it gets to the part that says booting you should interupt it and check out the bootable devices it knows about and change it to the CD.

    I correctly work with HPUX, I do alot of my testing of scripts at home on my Linux system before putting them on our production systems at work.

    does anyone has a script that does numeric paging. I'm running HP/UX 11.00 in a Service Guard cluster and I want the systems to beep the system admins when service guard goes into effect. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
