Hi Olaf
The CSV file is to transmit invoice data to one of the many e-commerce services. They seem to expect the file to be generated out of Excel which does not append a CRLF. The problem is that their extraction routines seem to simply trudge though the file until it gets to a blank line. For...
I have to copy a database to a .csv file (type delimited) which works but adds an EOF symbol (<Return>) in the cell in column A immediately below the data. This is causing problems to the recipient. Is there any way of stopping this?
I can get IPview Softboard working on Windows XP and Server 2003, all of these machines being 32-bit. I have tried the same process on Windows 7 64-bit and IPview does not work. I have read elsewhere that R6 can resolve this issue and I would be grateful for any help locating this.

Hi Nikos
For my IPview softboard, I just add the IP address for each machine in the 'Echo' tab on the 'Console' machine. This works on additional Server 2003 and XP machines. I added a Server 2003 machine at the same time as the Win 7 64-bit using this method. The Server 2003 is fine.
I have...
Hi Curlycord,
I have an issue with IPview, having replaced an XP machine with one running Win 7 64-bit.
I tried following the link that you kindly gave to simon1945 back in January but it no longer seems to work. Could you let me have the address where I can download R6. Thanks.
Peter
Hi Bill,
Brilliant, thank you. As you found, it has also got rid of some annoying aspects of Microsoft's ideas about how my computer should run. When I get a chance, I will play around with the 'windows decide' range of settings and try to tie down exactly which one solves the Lotus 5 (it is...

I got help on this problem in the above thread for Windows XP which was brilliant. However, I have moved a bit nearer to up-to-date and have Windows 7 and the same problem. When I try to change colours I just get a black screen. I would be grateful for any suggestions/solutions
Thanks for the response. The spreadsheet works without the installer intervention if I run the file normally or via a batch file. The installer only comes up when I run it out of FPW26. My initial thought was, exactly as yours, that, once the components were installed, subsequent use of the...
Sorry, I should have added that, if I immediately cancel the Windows Installer before it does anything, the spreadsheet still works! However, it is not really a solution because it takes a while after hitting the cancel button to for the cancellation to take effect.
I am trying to run Excel 2003 from within an FPW26 program using 'run /N {batch file that runs Excel}'. It does actually work but, each time that Excel opens, Windows install runs (very slowly) to install Excel Components - it appears to install two Excel features. It does not say what they are...
Am I being dense? I passed on the suggested configuration to the people who manage the 877W router and got the following response:-
This configuration is perfectly fine but as we discussed that it won’t work for this particular scenario, if both WAN links are connected to cisco router than I...
My organisation uses Exchange 2007 as its mail server. Our ADSL service is pretty poor and, each week, virtually dies when invoices are being emailed out in a big batch. This creates grief from the MD when he is trying to work remotely at the same time and cannot connect.
We have a second ADSL...
Thank you for these responses. I have now found that the problem is caused by lack of printer drivers on the server. Once these were installed for the remote printer evrything worked.
