Thanks Tgolds and GhTrout!
I suspected there was a very good reason to keep the MSB key.
There really is a need for ACD here, and it would do quite well if we actually used it properly.
I don't know of another application or process that can easily manage a phone queue equitably with a variable...
Can I delete MSB from the 10 affected instruments for ACD Queue without any side effects? I'd hate them to end up with MSB set and no way to get it back if someone doesn't answer within a number of rings.
Environment:
CS1000 on Opt 11C, basic ACD (no symposium) and 3904 instruments. A...
333 is the extension that feeds our ACD. Is there a way to have the 333 line not ring, or ring a short number of times (currently set to 4, I'd like to make it 2 or none so all calls go into ACD when ACD is active) and longer (like 8) when it is not?
I'm trying to make sure all calls go into...
I have a request from upper management for data on abandoned calls.
Environment:
CS1000 on Opt 11C, basic ACD (no symposium) and 3904 instruments. A smallish "mountain resort" front desk and back office are involved.
Using OTM for realtime collection, costing and transmission of records to...
Thanks all.
We seem to get a lot of offers to do "site surveys" here...
Even located at elevation of 4000 feet, on the rainy side of the island, there are still a lot of offers...
As always, I really appreciate all of the responses, as they definitely help keep me on the right track (and...
Thanks to all, I thought this would be "interesting"...
Yep, thought of the ring generator problem (Saw what could happen on an uncontrolled switch when someone did that 15 years ago), and of course the number of available ports we have for voicemail is only 10 (9 useable because housekeeping...
We have a Meridian Opt 11c with HMS-400 (hospitality version of CallPilot) and I have a request to set up something for emergency notification.
Can "all" phones of a class be rung at once so we can read/send a message or (better in my opinion) voicemail be set up to send voicemail to all phones...
Yep, thought of that, but have a couple of issues.
1) all external (public) IPs already in use.
2) users are not able to remember IP address to access via
a new IP. Well, this not so bad because if I had an extra public IP, I would have tried to map the new exchange server to it (ports 80 and...
This doesn't seem to be a firewall issue...
The primary problem is that both of these servers need to be accessed from outside (though not necessarily by the same URL. Right now, users on old server can go to mydomain.com/exchange from outside and all works well. With a virtual directory set...
I've got "old" exchange server 2003 on existing server with IIS (and Domain controller). Have added "new" exchange server and moved most mailboxes. Inside network, users on new server can open browser window and type old\exchange\ or new\exchange and get OWA window just fine (URL changes to...
[sigh] it only gets worse...
OK, so I finally did get NDR on the messages that didn't get to the moved mailbox.. Existing server tries awhile first.
So, have installed the exchange management tools on first DC HUI, plus alternate DC Pono. Can now see exchange tabs in user properties.
Have...
oh, oh...
Sent an email while mailbox was on new server. No non delivery report or other indication the message failed.
Moved mailbox back to original server, no new message.
Sent new message to mailbox while on original server, it arrives fine and user can log in and access mail.
Moved mailbox...
Not sure how to make it happen automatically. Everyone here adds the "from" address manually. I'm way behind on my training, perhaps this will come up when I finally get formal training on the details.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Looking at AD users and groups from Kumu, the current exchange server which is also a BDC, I can see the 4 tabs for exchange, and all information seems to be the same as a non-moved mailbox, except the general tab does show the new server as hosting the mailbox store.
For moved user, it shows...
