What we want is to let a caller (by telephone) type in a code on the phone wich will be send from our telephone server to a Oracle Forms client through a DDE connection. Then the Oracle Forms client must perform a search for the code in our DB and show the record that corresponds with the code...
ah ok, that's telling a lot. So if i do that i make a new array and create the mirror. How does the system see what disk is the original? Does it ask for a source disk when making a new mirror?
That's exact wat i thought but it doesn't work like that in this BIOS version. I read about removing the the array only i do'nt know what will happen with the data on the disk when doing that.
I have a supermicro server with a Adaptec embedded SATA HostRAID BIOS v2.1-0 bootleg 12/01
I have 2 120GB SATA HDD's from WD in a mirror and the BIOS says that the healthy disk is degraded and the other disk failed. Now i want to switch the defect disk for a new one but i can't seem to figger...
Ok, Thanx.. this will help i think. Microsoft is only talking about migrations from XC5.5 to 2003 or upgrade 2000 to 2003. So i didn't had the nerves to just try it.
Hi,
I have a Exchange 2000 Standard server. Now i like to migrate it to Exchange 2003. But, i want to run the new exchange 2003 on a new server. What is the best thing to do?

Well you could remove the user (security reasons) and add the smtp adres to another individual account like a coworker or something so it's mail can be answered and the receiver could be informed about the coworker leaving the company..
..and yes it's an opinion but hided adresses will be...
Yes it seems to work properly in theory, but it also creates a lot of traffic, work and time. You also could considering splitting the company domain in subdomains like eastcoast.organisation.com and westcoast.organisation.com or something.
In this way every single office get its own mail and...
What i don't understand is why you talk about removing email adresses from someone who is leaving the company.
Did you think you can remove the exchangebox by hiding it?
Problem solved.. after deep searching it apeared to be a demote of one of my DC's. It was still running some jobs for the exchange service even after it was removed. Some configuration in my AD solved my problems.
Completely remove one is hard to accomplish. There will allways be rubbisch from an DC in the domain.
There are 5 master roles that has to be transfered to another DC if one or more are running on your mailserver.
1. Active Directory Schema
2. DNS Master
3. RID
4. PDC emulator

Don't forget that there is a diverance between domainadresses and aliases. When you just want a second emailadres in the same domain you can add a new SMTP adres as an so called alias and change your default adres if you like. Just like the other message did told you. But if you want another...
Cause i have seen this problem myself i can tell you this. As information store Exchange uses default files which will be altered when the data in the files is used.
Priv1.edb is one of them. What i did was looking for files with older dates cause exchange would always change the date to the...
