can't add server or get exchange running
thx... i didn't know about netdiag. i ran it the way you suggested and got the error no DNS records have this dc registered. any ideas. does this mean that i have set up my dns incorectly or am addressing the wrong dns server at my isp thanks- flash510

can't add server or get exchange running
when i try a dcpromo on my backup server i get an error "can not find domain controller or insufficient authority to access server." i also can't seem to get exchange going which i think is part of the same problem. my assumption is this... DNS or active directory is not running...- flash510
