I built it my self a while a go, had the problem since. It boots all the way after I try turning it on again. I have a Asus SK8V mother board AMD Operton 1.4 Windows XP with SP2 RAM- Mushink 512 PC3200 (asus recomonds Apecer)

When ever I boot my computer up, I get 2 POST beeps and my computer shuts off. I was told before that this is a RAM issue. I would assume so, because I have problems in my computer form applications that would invlove RAM. Now could this be if I didnt get the type my motherboard was...

I was able to make an image of the old HHD with winimage from www.bootdisk.com. I have since recovered all my data

I re-seated my memory stick.......and it still does it. Anything else?

That is about it. It dont do any more. After the The beeps, then I try turning on the power again and It goes on like nuthing ever happened. How would I reset the memeory???

When my computer starts up like from a shut down, or a restart....The fans and lights turn on, then the PC speaker sounds twice. After that everything shuts down and I have to turn it on again for it to boot up.... Any help please? If it matters my motherboard is a SK8V from Asus....

My key board has a F Lock and I dont see any way for me to have it come one automaticly when my computer comes on.....Is it even possible?

Ok, thanks a lot. I didnt have to swich it to a slave because I had 2 different typs of HD. My BIOS had the other HD boot up first the whole time...I thought it was different. THanks for all your help

I have 2 harddrives in my computer. A SATA 120gig and a IDE 20 gig. My SATA one works fine with windows installed in it. However, my IDE does not work. When ever its pluged in and I boot up the computer, I get an error message, Missing NTDLRA(not sure of excat name) Press CTRL+ALT+DLE to...

Ok I found a drive for is and put it on a floppy. Now hwo do I get it to reconize it?

Yes it is, I can select both of my harddrives. Like the 20gig as the first harddrive and the 120gig as the second. It dont show both during boot-up tho.

I had to get a IDE harddrive to install my Windows XP. I ended up getting a 20gig HD. HOwever, windows will not reconize my 120gig SATA HD. How would I install my SATA HD so I can store information on it?

Whats wrong? Everything is connected right, but when I turn on the harddrive in the BIOS setup starts but does not detect the HD, but when I turn it on setup does not even start
