Printere is found and installed normally using original disk that came with printer. After install get message that cannot change parameters on printer because access is not authorized. Have tried cold start, download from Borhter site, etc. thanks in advance

I would try to boot from a boot disk, or an XP disk. IF not unplug everything from the board except the video card. If it is onboard video try another card. May resetting the bios would help.

I have had two instances lately of XP failing after a microphone was installed. The micorphone worked fine but XP hung which is really rare and the XP splash screen even changed. Removing the microphone made the problem go away. Any clues.
