It could be the conmpression. It depends on the speed of your machine and some other factors. If it is ok when you render the video, then it is a result of the compression used in the clip. It's a heck of a lot of data. It is not neccessarily the audio that takes the cpu bandwith, but...
I have the same problem when I Export a clip - I get Audio: Disabled on the save as dialog. Does anyone have the answer? On occasion, I have gotten audio, but I do not see a pattern to how I get it.
