Word 2010 Numbered bullets not restarting at 1 after save

Cheers guys. It does seem an odd one, and it does look like manual numbering is the way forward for us. Thanks all Fen

Word 2010 Numbered bullets not restarting at 1 after save

Hi Vilhelm Thank you for the reply. I have tried it, but it didn't fix it for me unfortunately - the bullets still continue numbering. We are working on citrix servers through something called "One Desktop" which could be causing unforeseen problems, if what you suggested is the way to fix it...

Word 2010 Numbered bullets not restarting at 1 after save

Hi folks I have had a search on the site but I couldn't see anything appropriate. I have also searched the web and the best option is to run a macro to convert numbered bullets to text before a merge (simply "ActiveDocument.ConvertNumbersToText" - I haven't tried this yet as the office I work...

Excel VBA to trigger a macro assigned to a shape click

Hi all We have a spreadsheet provided to us from another company. The VBAProject is protected and I do not know the password. On worksheet "Main" there is a shape ("Rectangle 2") which has a macro assigned ("ShowInputForm"). We are trying to automate our process with VBA but we have a...

MS Access 2010. Split End. Thin Client. Speed issues.

Hi all I have read a number of posts on various speed issues with multi-user databases, but I haven't found one that mirrors my particular circumstances. At the start of October 2012 our office lost our local server. Our files are now held on a client server in a different part of the...

VBA Open Event for any Excel workbook - possible?

The "Understanding Events" FAQ has sorted it out. Brilliant - thanks Combo.

VBA Open Event for any Excel workbook - possible?

Thanks Combo I must admit to being a total novice with Class modules. Done step 1 by adding a class module and changing its name under the properties window. Steps 2 & 3 I took as being simply typing within the module your code plus a debug.print command to get some output Public WithEvents...

VBA Open Event for any Excel workbook - possible?

Hi everybody I was wondering if there is a way to set up a piece of VBA code that runs whenever a new workbook is opened in Excel (I am currently using 2007). Or if there definitely isn't then to know there isn't so I stop trying to find a way! I can't think where it would need to be located...

VBA - MS Word: Count columns in each row of table

That's the chappy! Now you say it, it seems the logical extension (as columns didn't work). I don't know why I didn't think of trying that, but I didn't. Many many thanks - you've just saved me a lot of time. Regards Fen

VBA - MS Word: Count columns in each row of table

I use that in an earlier part of the macro but it doesn't seem to help in this part of the code. It would help if I described the table a little more: The first 4 rows of the table have general information in, who created it, when, a reference number, etc and then row 5 has general titles...

VBA - MS Word: Count columns in each row of table

Hi guys I have inherited over 1000 word documents contain tables. The tables have varying numbers of rows and columns but follow the same general format. I need to read in the information in each row that has, say six columns, but ignore rows where cells have been merged and the column...

Export email info to Excel - alert msg prob

.....I tell a lie. Changing the email being looked at via "GetLast" gives me the email address of the sender (external). Using GetFirst I am looking at a co-worker's email address which gives me an odd result.
