Make sure that the username you are logging on with has remote access privileges.
Also, if there is a firewall in between, make sure it's not blocking the RDP client.

Would the same linksys router do the trick?
I would prefer to purchase routers as I'd like to keep my server for file storage etc.
What would you reccommend? Would I need to purchase a firewall as well?
