Let me be sure that I understand. What will basically happen is that all of the phones in slot 2 and above will have to be reprogrammed.
That is not as terrible for me as it may sound. I have a total of 8 MLX phones and 3 basic phones which are programmed itentically. I can set one or two up...
I have a Merlin Legend configured as follows:
Slot # 0: CKE3 CPU Release 7 ver 12
Slot # 1: 408 GS/LS-ID-MLX
Slot # 2: 408
Slot # 3: 408
Slot # 4: 012
Slot # 5: 408 GS/LS-MLX
I would like to remove the two 408 modules (which are now empty) and replace them...
I am trying to figure out how to answer a call waiting (putting the current person on hold) from a single line phone on a Merlin Legend sysetem.
According to the documentation, this can be done by pressing a flash and dialing #87. When I press the flash I get a few short "happy"...
I have installed a door fone and it works well. http://www.homecontrols.com/cgi-bin/hci.pl?pgm=co_disp&func=displ&strfnbr=2&prrfnbr=140&sesent=0,0 is a link to one of the places that has it available, but you may be able to find it less expensive elsewhere.
Basically, it gets hooked up to one...
That is it!!!!
The system speed dial sequence requires a 9 to grab an outside line on the single line phone. That was not the case for the Merlin II processor.
I have to program a separate set of system speed dial numbers for the single line phones (using a 9 first). I'm glad I finally...
I just went through a similar upgrade. Everything is working fine with the exception of not being able to dial a system speed number from a single line phone. If you are interested, see my other thread on that topic.
My configuration appears to be exactly the same with the exception that I...
Thanks for all the help.

-None of my stations are associated with disallow list 7.
-I can dial the system speed dial number directly from the s/l phone.
- #33 to enable/disable call forwarding is recognized (The system does recognize the #)

Is there anyplace I can find more documentation on the testing procedure? When I dial *04 on an intercom line I just get a warbling sound.
Thanks,
Evan
In looking through the documentation and deduction, what seems to be happening is that the system fails to recognize the "#" as an "activate feature" signal.
Any idea why that may be or how I can change it?
Thanks,
Evan
I am getting an inside dial tone (and can dial inside extensions). It is just the speed dial that does not work.
I have also programmed the phone for call wating and I do hear the call waiting tone. I can emulate a rotary phone (though I have not configured the port that way) by flashing...
I have a Legend R7 V12. I am hooking up a standard single line portable phone through a 012 module. I can access an outside line by entering 9 or dial intercom stations directly.
The problem is that I can not dial a system speed dial number. On my old Merlin II that could be done by pressing...
I have just upgrated the processor card of a Merlin II system with a Legend processor card (CKE3 V7 R12).
The problem is the the Hold button on my analog phones (BIS-10) doesn't seem to work consistently or well. The hold button must be pressed down multiple times for the call to go on hold...
