just leave it. i have the same problem. however when i do double click on the files, the appropriate programs load up. it is because i also have office 97 on the comp too. i rather use office 97 but forced to use 2000 on certain occassions. so just let it update or whatever it does. it only...
are you sure its booted up? and if you are sure, just to check, just leave the video card in there and boot up, trying to isolate if any of the cards are dead. if that is still a problem just put in another card that you are sure that works.
if that does not work, rearrange the power...
well where do you live??? if you live in US leave it alone. if you want to play the movie, however, you have to extract the movie and set the movie so that it can be played in all regions. programs such as dvddecypter and smartripper would do this for you in one shot, it would set to all region...
if its a problem you cant fix, and you really want to watch that movie, then you can just use some third party software to extract the movie onto the hard drive, removing the macrovision protection, and watching the movie like that. you could also try other programs.
another problem might be...
well if you only have 1 drive in there, it should only be set under single drive. if theres two drives, well im sure you know what to do. i had a problem with that, but w/ the hard drive. i just set it to single drive instead of master and it worked. hopefullie that works.
well i use partition magic to copy the partition from one drive to another. that might work better, it never had a problem. just format the other 1 and start over.
i dink i kno what happened. i had the same problem w/ my friends drive. it seems as if it prob did not finish, and that there is a...
if all fails, send the drive back if its under warranty, if you dont mind it being shipped off for about 2 weeks. most likely they would just send you a new one and sell it as refurb. it happened to me a few times.
another option would be getting another hard drive, setting up the bad 1 as...
yes ultra ata 100/133 rated cables to exist. they should look more colorful *blue or gray connectors, other colors can exist, most likely NOT BLACK*
i have asked a technician and there is a difference. the cable with the black connectors are most likely only rated ata 33, and that would...
what do u mean as one drive??? and is 8.4 gb enough for backup?? just curious.
i do not think there is a way to combine 2 drives into 1 using any program, if that's what your talking about. *you cant make 2 hard drive designate as C or D, etc*
however, u can use both of dem, but they will be...
i have heard that microsoft spent more time on 2000 and it is much more stable than windows xp, which i agree on. i had no problems with 2000 besides minor stuff here and there. but w/ xp, it was alot more frequent. however, win xp does boot up faster, which what most people want. besides the...
Well i had the same problem twice. One solution was to switch around the power supply cables (dont ask me why that worked, but it did). the other was just to put in the video card only and try to see if the other cards are faulty, which u already did. mayb try to tinker w/ the power cables...
do you know what the character set, and the file set length is? did you use nero? since if you have nero, go to new compilation, and go to iso, and see the warnings they have. i think that might be the case since cd-r's should be compatible with almost every drive (unless its really really old)
