need a good router for home gaming

A Linksys WRT54G with Tomato Firmware will rock the house for gaming. You can setup QoS on the port to keep family members from sucking up your bandwidth. :)

AD Login Script. How to mount using the homeshare?

Ack Nevermind! I'd been testing my script the whole time just by running it, never bothering to actually log out. It is fine. Phhft.

AD Login Script. How to mount using the homeshare?

I guess that might be the real question. I thought it had to be done in the script.

AD Login Script. How to mount using the homeshare?

I thought this would be straight forward and maybe it is so straight forward I've missed the answer right in front of my face the whole time. I'm trying to use %homeshare% which pulls from the AD profile set for the user's home share. Every place I've looked never mounts the user's home drive...

    Anyone confirm this?

    Exchange 2003 and 5.5 (removing 5.5) question.

I'm in the process of following KB article 822450 for removing the last 5.5 server from an Exchange Server 2003 Administrative group. I've followed the steps up to 12 and shut down all the exchange services on the 5.5 box for about a week now and have watched for issues. The only thing I...

    mail server compromised?

Yeah sort of sounds like a NDR attack.

Forwarding outbound emails from a specific user

Environment: Exchange 5.5 Outlook 2000 I'd prefer to do this at the server level but have also explored doing this at the outlook level. For compliance in our industry we need to make sure all emails are sent to another offsite email address for archiving and compliance checking. Incoming...

Seeking ideas for a spam filter

I have to give another recommendation for xwall. Simple and lightweight, yet it does almost more than the "expensive yearly fee, upgrade will cost you x more" companies out there.

    SPAM's got me!

I've tried to turn off NDR on my exchange servers before when suffering a NDR spam attack. I've gone and turned them off and the thing still generates them. Stopped all services, rebooted, checked and unchecked. Still an issue. I ended up getting a different smtp server to handle the first...

    Sending emails to bogus addresses??

The person on vacation did they have out of office notifications setup? A lot of times (who am I kidding all the time) spammers use a false address, so it'll try and send the out of office notification to a fake address and just sit in the queue.

Moving servers after a large crash, need advice, possible corruption?

zbnet: Thanks for the concern. I have let it run a few backups since then via backup exec, it is just such a pain to get them off when I need them that I wanted to be a little more hands on with my method. This is only until I migrate over to the new server, so it isn't like I plan to let it...

Moving servers after a large crash, need advice, possible corruption?

As in just copying the priv and pub back into the mdbdata folder and starting it back up? I haven't tested any this week at all. I will test em and make sure. I'm still curious about chances of moving over actual corruption from the old server store to the new store.

Moving servers after a large crash, need advice, possible corruption?

Since the crash I've been manually backing up the priv and pub by shutting it down each night. Backing it up. Then starting it up again. I would indeed backup before attempting to move to the new server.
