Is there a glyph library in quark like there is in illustrator? or do i just have to use webdings to type the shapes i want?

I have had the same problem multiple times. No idea what cuases it but it never seems to effect anything. When i re-save the document and open it again the message does not come up again.
You can try this, make sure your drill bit is vertical on your canvas and go to filter>distort>shear if that doesnt work play with filter>liquify. Hope this helps
I know you've found your solution to this problem but figured you might want to know what cuases it. The only thing i know of that causes this problem is image mode set to 16 bit/channle going to image mode and setting it to 8 bit/channle will fix it.

The easiest way ive found to cut out objects like this in photo shop is to use channels. Open your channels pallet and click on the individual channles untill you find the one that has most contrast difference between the image and the background. Once you find the best channle for this photo...
Had this problem a long time ago myself. Don't remember exactly what the fix was for it but I remember having to call quark. If I'm not mistaking they made me reinstall and gave me a new activation for it.
The only time I have seen this happen is when the runaround is set to item. If this is the case go to item>modify and set runaround to none on the text boxes.
Adobe is changing the size becuase it goes by pixels. It changes any size you make to the nearest pixel value. Therefore if your measurement isnt exactly a certain amount of pixels then it will be changed.

I'm working with a web site someone else built to get it up to date untill we get our new site up and running. The problem is when i open the site in front page i cant see any of the photos the links are good and still work when i upload the site but i cant see them in layout form. Any help...
Try going through the different blending modes Hue may work better for what you are trying to do if this wont work you may need to create a displacement map.
