Strange but I changed the name server to another one and nslookup & dig works just fine. Not able to explain why this should be.

There is a lastlogin file in /var/adm
-rw------- 1 root sys 0 May 26 10:03 /var/adm/loginlog
However there is no wmtpx in /var/adm but wmtp
-rw-rw-r-- 1 adm adm 0 Sep 1 10:11 wtmp

last command displays only current dates logins. The server is set up identical to many other servers where last command displays all prevoius logins.
Ideas on what could be causing this welcome.

ifconfig on ce interface shows that the interface is up but kstat shows the link down.
ce1: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4>
kstat -p ce:1:ce1:link_up shows ce:1:ce1:link_up 0
Why are the results different? Thoughts welcome.

The mail relay [DS] in sendmail.cf had to be changed to reflect the new mail relay IP after which sendmail accepts and delivers mail to outside world , but mail/mailx does not deliver mail to accounts local to the server. What is the issue?

Thanks for the feed back. Rather sure that the slowness was due to the the interface going into HDX , though I couldn't verify it. Am curious to know how you fixed it using rules file.

Hi all
iostat seems to report on devices that were removed from the system. Any way to remove these non-existing drives and get the report only on current physical disk on the system with out explicitly specifying the disks.
