Anyone ever had this problem where you insert a tape, and as its in the drive, it never changes to "Loaded". I'm thinking my drive has gone bad since my last back a couple weeks ago. I've had the drive for about 3-4 years now. Just curious If something isn't communicating correctly...
Thanks for all your patience by the way SQLBill.
I have checked all cables and made sure everything was in its place.
When I installed Veritas (i've done this a few times now), and each time, I chose a different driver. First time, I did the recommended and let Veritas Drivers be used. The...
Maybe i'm not explaining as much as I should.
I have disabled the drives one by one, which enabled me to test each drive verifying that they all in fact, had the same result.

Yes, i've tried cleaning the drives since there are 4 total drives in the library. Nothing seems to work. I tried a TestRun, it actually showed a Byte Count. I then tried to do the Real run and it gets stuck on "Loading Media", but media is in the drive. The media is from the...
I had backups running very good for a long time, but here recently, everything took at dive. System specs below:

The cleaning media is in the slot directly above the portal, which, in Backup Exec, you can not see the slot. If you can, I just dont know where. Its just not a part of the number sequence (slots 1-27). When the drive does need cleaning, it will automatically pull the cleaning media from the...
I'm trying to clean a drive by right clicking on the drive itself under the device Tab and within 20 seconds, I get the alert:
