It sounds like the install did not complete therefore, when the server restarted none of the information was saved except the partition data. Re-install NetWare and overwrite everything as if nothing happened the first time and after you finish loading the drivers, creating partitions, volumes...

What you are referring to is Novell's Management Portal. You will need the IP address of your server, the default port is 8008. They you will need a valid login, I think it must be ADMIN or equivalent. Joshua Rothschild

First let me say that I am NOT a programmer (once upon a time maybe, but not now). That being said here goes...
The book you need is NDS Developer's Guide published by Novell Press. It describes the I/O you need to get the values you want from NDS. There is a CD included with the book that I...
Until you get the message "Communications Established" on the Powerchute screen the UPS and the server are NOT talking to one another. You need to be sure that all the NLMs (AIO.NLM, AIOCOMX.NLM - with the proper settings) are loaded and the correct cable (not necessarily the one...

Every time I have run into this problem it has always been that user context is not used. This means you need to explicitly enter "cn=admin.o=xxxx" then the password at the prompts. When appling a service pack NetWare assume that the user is working from ROOT of the tree and at the...
