AMD Athlon XP2600 installation

AMD Athlon XP2600 installation
Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to wait til monday to try though as the pc is in my office. Can i use the heatsink that came with the Athlon on top of the duron processor? The conductive material on the bottom of the old one may have got damaged when i removed it.- dylan77

AMD Athlon XP2600 installation
I am trying to install an AMD Athlon XP2600 CPU on a Gigabyte GA-7XZ motherboard. Previously it had a duron processor installed and worked perfectly. Since installing the XP2600 the PC sounds like it is booting but nothing appears on the monitor ... Do i need to change some settings on the...- dylan77
