DSL getting new federal mandate for uptime & better ISP support? Anything heard about this?
Just spoke with a DSL tech support guy from Qwest who told me that there was a new federal mandate coming soon that would require ISP's to better support subscribers by giving a higher level of support...
* Be specific - what Gateway PC? What OS?
* What is the background on viruses, spyware, Win updates?
* Are you in the US?
* What power quality - are you having brownouts, voltage sags, spikes?
* Are you using a UPS, is it new?
* Is this a laptop, desktop, tower, server?

Don't know how the problem arose. Not my PC. The client is a young guy, under 22.
