Hey All,
We are having a problem here where the DHCP services on our machines are being disabled. We are not doing this manually, and it seems to be pulling the setting from a server. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? We are running W2K and 2003 Servers and W2k Pro clients.

What do I do, if, for example, I have a server that runs terminal services with a good number of applications. That server completely fries and I need to restore the machine to a whole different tower. All I have is a full backup and system state by Windows 2000 NTBackup. Anyone? And thanks for...
Hey all,
I have a problem with my Exchange 2000 box. The SMTP service keeps failing. When it does, it takes out all the services that it depends on. I can start all the services I need without a problem, but as soon as I start the SMTP service, it comes on and then stops and I get messages in...
Hey All,
I am trying to rename a Win2K Pro machine on our network. When I try to apply it, it asks me for an account that has permission to do this on the domain. I then type in the uname and password that I always use to join computer to the domain, but I keep getting the following error...
Sorry, I guess I should have been more detailed in my steps. His machine is a laptop and the problem has been going on for about six months now. It was only about 2 months ago that I reformatted the machine. Before that I did everything that mscallisto mentioned and more. I scanned for viruses...

RAID 1:
C:\ Drive
E:\ Drive
RAID 5:
D:\ Drive
The D: drive contains all the exchange databases and...
Hey All,
I have a user that complains about Outlook dropping off his screen. He'll be working and the program just closes, but the process is still running. The only way to get it back is to stop the process and open it up again. I have upgraded to the latest service packs for the OS (Win2K)...
Hey All,
I am fairly certain that I am correct on this, but just to be sure, here is the question. Is there any way to increase the the color depth of a terminal server client in Windows 2000 to something above 256 colors?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply guys,
It does the exact same thing when booting into safe mode. This is such a pain, since I know where to go to change the settings, but I can't get the thing logged in. Any other ideas?
Hey All,
I am having trouble logging into one of my systems. What happens is, I boot up the machine and it gives my a login prompt. I login with my username, password, and domain, and it proceeds to login. I then get an error message telling me that my paging file is too small or it does not...
