I use thin clients out on our plant floor with touch screens to allow the production associates to report production through a software package. Previous thin clients have allowed me to setup an RDP connection to my server, saving the login information. After setting security, the user just...
Well this doesn't appear to be a browser issue. I took my laptop home over the weekend and was able to access the site from my house. But that still doesn't explain why a handful of people here at work are able to access it while most cannot. We are running WebSense but I have PowerUser...
I tried to be sly in posting the site but I guess I could have just done it outright.
diecadgroup.com.
I thought about add-ins and updates to windows and IE. I installed all reccommended MS updates. Usually when there is an add-in missing, IE will drop the add-in/ActiveX bar at the top. But...
Not sure this is a browser issue but it deals with browsing and I can't determine what the issue is.
There is a website, failedsite.com, that my engineering department needs to access. It is one of their vendors. When they type in the URL, IE just sits and says it is "waiting for...
Yes there is power going to the floppy drive. The led lights up through the POST, when the "Press F6" prompt shows and again when I press "S" to specify an additional adapter driver. It reads the disk and loads the drivers off the floppy. So I know the drive works and windows recognizes it...
OK now i am perplexed. I am installing Server 2003 x64 on a new server. I hit F6 to specify additional controller card drivers. I have to use a USB floppy drive as the server does not have one installed. No problem I have done this before. I created the floppy driver disk from the Adaptec...
Yes! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you noveyron.
I guess I have my Saturday planned for me now.
Not sure if a star is appropriate since this didn't actually answer my original issue. But I think having the instructions will keep the initial problem from even happening. So...
Yes that's what I meant. I must have mixed up my procedure somewhere. I tried it again and now I can see the new server in the System Manager. Thank you.
I guess at this point I could say what is not happening that I think should. OR I could just say what I am trying to do and ask for...
Maybe I am going about this the wrong way.
I have purchased a new server to replace my existing exchange server. I thought I could install windows and exchange, bring it into the domain, then migrate the user mailboxes over to the new server. Then have (or help) the users change the settings...
Here is my problem. I have a secondary monitor setup as an extended desktop running off of the back of my laptop. The monitor is located on the left side of my laptop. Everytime I activate the secondary video port using the <fn> + F8 keystroke, it defaults to the right side. I go to the...
I am using a clock sync program to get atomic time. The current server that was selected did not respond so maybe that was the problem. I picked another server and it pinged back.
A BIOS clock issue would only come into play after a restart, right? That's the only time the OS checks the MB...
I came in this morning and a number of people said they couldn't access network resources or that they got a message saying system time does not match network time.
I look and the date on all servers and most computers has jumped back one day.
I check my DC and it has a entry in the System...
Well, I think I found the issue. We are using MailEssentials for SPAM filtering. Some of the relay DNS blacklist check entries timed out when I verified them. After disabling them on the list, the Queue immediatly started clearing.
Hope this helps someone.

My mail is backing up in the Mailroot.vs1/Queue folder. Mail is flowing through (if you can call it that), but it is not as fast as what is coming in. All Updates are installed. Running Server 2000 and Exchange 2000. I am looking for a direction to head. The Queue is up to 500 and growing...
I have used (and still do use) diskdata. I like it because I am able to drill down folder by folder to see where my disk space is currently. I am really looking for something that does what diskdata does but then trends or archives that data . I want to see if the sales folder is 20 Gig now...
