I apologize, the machine running the printers is actually running on win2k pro, not win nt. The person before me labeled the machine nt-printer so I keep thinking it's running nt. Sorry about that.
We current have a Xerox 4517 and an EPSON C84 attached to a print server on our network. When a user selects the Xerox 4517 to be the default printer on their workstation, it will stay as the default until the workstation is restarted. Then it switches back to the C84. One user doesn't have...
Our connection is a DSL line. When I ping an IP address, including my own, it responds and at the usual speed. It never seems to matter if I use an IP address or the actual web address to conenct to the site, it does the same thing.
Next week when it does it I will take the advice about...
Last week when the user came in everything worked, but this week the problem is back again. Tried removing the TCP as stated above and reinstalled, but still gave me the same problem.
Here is the log file, I had done one this week.

I have checked the timeout setting our end for sending the emails and it seems to be ok. I also don't believe they are getting impatient with receiving the emails. I could be wrong about the last part but I don't think so.
I tried that, yet it was only after I ran them all that it started to work again. That's why I figured it was the WinsockFix that was correcting the problem. Yet, when I ran only WinsockFix, it didn't fix it. I ran all 6 again in the original order and then it worked.
The machine is running Win2k Pro. LSPFix hasn't found anything to fix or remove in all the times I've run it so far. I thought that WinsockFix was the one that would take care of the problem so this past Monday, I tried just running it, but it didn't work. I had to run all 6 programs to get...
Every Monday morning for the past 3 weeks, a user tries to get on the Internet when they come in and they are unable to. It will start to load the page, usually displaying any banners across the top of the page, and then stop. The progress bar makes it look like it's still loading the page but...
I have a user that every time he tries to send photos of a job site to our client, they receive the email 3 times. He is normally sending it to 4 people at our client's organization. It is only for this user and only when he's sending pictures. My thought was that maybe it was with the...
Thanks. That did get it taken care of. After I posted I downloaded and ran Spybot but didn't do it in the order suggested by that article. Once I did, it started working fine again. Thanks again.
I have a user's PC right now that when they click on a link in their favorites in IE 6, the web page will start to load (for example, Yahoo's site the main banner at the top appears and the progress bar goes up to about 60%) and then IE freezes. When you close it, you have to 'End Now'. If I...
Just got a phone call from our ISP. After saying all was well on their end, they are now saying that something happened during their maintenance upgrade this morning and it's on their end. Thanks for your help though.
Whenever someone tries to send an email outside of the organization, it comes back right away as undeliverable from the System Administrator. The last part of the return email says "550 you are not allowed to send mail to <email address>". In the event viewer on the server is says the same...
I am creating an automated time sheet in Excel 2000. The user enters their time in and out for the morning, and then their time in and out for the afternoon. (For example: In 7:00, Out 12:00, In 12:30, Out 14:30). It compute the number of hours that is and displays it like a time (i.e. 7:00)...
