If i go to "restore selections" i see no files and no subfolders twice. no i used ntbackup to back up on harddisk. we just received the tape as a replacement so it should be ok, yes i ran the tape tools after we received the device. no problems were shown. no there is no use of disk compression...

i did, nothing attracted me, everything seems normal. this is really messed up

Well, i backed up the stuff with microsoft backup, and the size is completely correct. :( WTF

well i guess i must schedule that for the weekend, at night backup exec backs up and over the day, ppl are working, i will post again on monday, but thx

like i said, no mapped drives and no it does not look like its twice, but the size of the complete backup is too huge

Hi, i reinstalled backup exec on a new machine, now i have the problem that i cannot select some folders or files on some network paths. i watched the manual, but i couldnt find anything yet! i hope someone can help me here regards mirko

Hi, i have 2 jobs, 2nd appends to first, for two days now, the 2nd job fails with an error message that says "Error reported: Das Zeitlimit für die Semaphore wurde erreicht." which means "timelimit reached for the semaphore" whatever that means. can anybody help me with this issue?

in the "restore selections" it shows the media that has been created while the first backup job ...so yes

first job does not eject! 2nd job it is set to append

alright here is the news, i let the backups run tonight, first was succussful, 2nd again not, first has defined "overwrite yes" on media set1. error message of the 2nd job was No appendable media could be mounted. Error - Mount failed. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Physical Volume Library Media not found. 2nd...

another thing is that i created another media set, the first backup runs on the standard media set 1 the 2nd on the customize created media set. i thought that backup exec would create that way 2 data "files" that are independend, ok i will let it run again in append mode, lets pray o:) thx so far
