trying going to "windowsupdate.microsoft.com" and go to the product update link. from there you have the choice of downloading whatever update your system needs. if you understand the process going on, you should be able to find the update exe's that are downloaded to your system...

I am having the hardest time, trying to package the superdats that update our mcafee virusscans on our win95 and nt machines. i can get the package to update the virusscan but i just cant stop the package from crashing at the end of the install. has anybody had any experience packaging...

This happens alot for our win95 and win98 machines. When we try to restart the machine it will freeze up for a little bit and then a dialog box will ask if we want to end task the &quot;SMS Client User Application Launcher&quot; that appears to be frozen. Does anybody have a fix for this?

make sure the clients are able to connect to the advertised programs server. sometimes this means rebooting a client three times to get it connected good.

is the built in power user group too powerful for you?

make sure the client computers are setup to use the administrator's settings. go to the systems management applet in control panels and check to see if the 'use admin's settings' is checked. hope this helps.

SMS Installer. Its on the cd and is somewhat hidden in there. Within this utility, you can use the repackage or watch function to distribute your software with the help of snapshots.
