Yes it is very much possible to do that. You have to install the corresponding client package (cleintpak (?)) for solaris. Note that the version of Legato should remain the same on both.

Sorry for the delay. The daemon nsrmmd should be running in both the server and the storage node. (One of those two systems should be the server and the other should be a Storage Node.) To identify the systems, let me tell you sth abt the daemons that should be present on them.

What is bootstrap and what is the exact use of it ? All I know about it is bootstrap has to be saved for upgrading to a later version of Legato. We can do so by using mminfo command.
But what exactly is bootstrap? What does it do?

There should be a .dt directory in / and will also an errorlog sort of file. Pls go thru that and find some hints. Also make sure that, your /etc/hosts is perfect, since Xwindows uses TCP/Ip for communication, if I am not wrong.
