Search Engines are causing IE 5.0 to not respond

Alright, I have looked everywhere I can think of for user support on this issuse. My user can launch IE5 and type in URL's without a problem. However, if she tries to do any kind of search from any engine, her IE hangs and will not respond. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
