Hi Tony,
Thanks for your information, it's always good to learn more about the intricacies of Word.
I was trying to deploy a macro that I was written partly by myself and partly by an external consulant. It does a mail merge then calls a soap service to hook into Cache code to upload the mail...
I am using Word 2002 (10.6764.6735) SP3
I have just realised that the reference is only removed if I create the template from within Word. If I create one in Windows Explorer by just saying "new word document" and calling it Test.dot, the reference to Normal is put in automatically and never...
Hi there,
Whenever I try to create a reference to Normal from a template, it disappears. What I do is this:
Create a new template in Word
Open VBA (ALT-F11)
Select Tools -> References
Select checkbox next to Normal, click OK
The reference then appears in the Project Explorer window...
Thanks for the response synapsevampire.
This would mean putting vba into the normal.dot though, which I didn't really want to do.
Thanks again for your help though,
Donna.
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to use a different Word template (i.e. instead of normal.dot) when you export a Crystal Report into Microsoft Word format?
I need to put a macro I have written into any Word documents that are generated by Crystal.
I am using Crystal v10.
Thanks in...
Thanks Linney,
That answers my questions about right-clicking the start menu. (I guess this cannot be changed... )
However, since I use Explorer every day and I don't want to have to go through the start menu.
What about the Explorer that appears when I press the windows key and 'e'. Do you...
Hi,
I've been searching TekTips to try and make Windows Explorer start with certain folders expanded. I found a reference to an article that explains how to do it: http://www.itworld.com/nl/win_admin_tips/03152002/
However, I cannot work out how to do this for the Explorer that opens when I...
Hi,
When I insert my Visio 2000 diagram into Word 2000 as an object it all looks okay. Even when I print preview, everything appears as expected. However in the actual printout the diagram is wrong. It appears huge, but only a small part can be seen (i.e. very close up), from what I can tell...
Hi Pete,
Thanks for all your help, but I think we're working on different times (I'm in Australia)! The current status of my database is that I successfully test which node is clicked and the corresponding data fields appear on the form. :-D
If left(Node.Key, 3) = "CH_" Then...
Hi Mike,
Thanks for all your help, but I think we're working on different times (I'm in Australia)! The current status of my database is that I've used the method you recommended (i.e. testing the left chars of the node.key) to test which node is clicked and the corresponding data fields appear...
Thanks Mike. :-D
I couldn't work out how to use GO BOTTOM and SKIP, so I have just hidden each field and I make them visible only when a child node is clicked.
I now have a treeview that, when the lowest level child is clicked on, displays some editable fields. However, I have defined each of...
Thanks Pete. :-D
I now have a treeview that, when the lowest level child is clicked on, displays some editable fields. However, I have defined each of these fields as having a Control Source, which is a column from the database. For this reason, only the data from the first record is displayed...
Hi,
I have created a treeview on a form, along with some fields from the database. The treeview is working as required (allowing nodes that are read from db to be opened and closed) however, I would like to be able to click on the lowest level node and display extra data (which is read from db)...
