I timed the calculation of 1 record on 12 sec. However each record has 12 colomns who are calculated and as I have a few thousand records to calculate I want to know where the calculation can be optimized.

an other way of doing it is to use the hidden property of the cells (Format - Cells - Protection - check hidden). This only works if you protect your sheet (Tools - Protect - Protect sheet). You don't have to add a password if you don't want to. You won't see the formulas adn your sheet is...

Hi, I have created an xla in excel97. It's running fine when excel is already open (with or without an open workbook). But when excel is not running and I click on the xla icon to start my xla program, excel crashes when it tries to run my xla file (not when it's loading the built-in xla's...
